• A casual artist. Yuu likes to paint and sketch, and photographing aligns with this. • Attentive to cleaning. • Can absolutely cook delicious meals but they look awful • Surprisingly good at dancing • Surprisingly awful at singing • Has some skill in swordfighting, mostly kendo but has an interest in fencing • Can play the flute • Excels at strategy • Decent at sewing • Has a habit of sleepwalking/sleeptalking • Never quite seems rested enough
By and large, Yuu is not someone to hold much of a grudge, even if apparently the person in question has put him through some shit. He might end up teasing them or coercing them to pay back a favor in return, but ultimately Yuu can let things go.
As a result, he can be pretty casual with the other students, for better or for worse. While he considers most of the other main cast to be friends, obviously he feels closer to some than others, but everyone is an equal opportunity buddy.
Respects most of the staff except for Crowley who he finds distinctly irresponsible and frustrating to deal with. This is an IC-only sentiment, I personally find Crowley hilarious and charming.
Currently as I play him, Yuu doesn't have a romantic crush, but I am open to shipping. He's either very direct in his approach, or is oblivious to someone trying to flirt with him or confessing.
Not a lot is canonically known about Yuu's homelife, but there are some general facts to establish:
• He is Japanese • Based on various character comments and Yuu's behavior, he doesn't seem too fussed about the fact that he's stuck in another world. It's clear he's looking for ways back, but it's not something that depresses or upsets him either.
That being said, I've taken it as a sign that Yuu feels distant from most people in his world. A bit estranged from his parents, and not particularly close to his classmates. Very little in the way of animosity, but there isn't much in the way of yearning from him either. By and large, Yuu also doesn't assume he's been missed by anyone.
While his background isn't full of abuse or severe neglect, he doesn't have a strong bond with anyone in his own world either.
Yuu is generally split on this. On one hand, he realizes that he's an outcast by being isekaid into Disney Bishounen Land; he has no magic, and his circumstances in staying at the Ramshackle Dormitory are tenuous at best. The students have Problems and desperately need therapy or they flip out and get gooey. Not ideal for a normal high school student.
However, on the other hand, Yuu has ended up with incredible friendships that he doesn't want to give up. He should go back to his world, but he's come around to the place he's spent months at. While he takes a lot of things in stride, it doesn't seem as if he particularly misses his homelife that much either, even if it'd probably make more sense if he went back to where he "belongs."
Ultimately, Yuu is very split on the feeling, and part of his internal struggle is coming to terms with it.
